I was looking forward for this run. When i reached the park, it started drizzling. So i drove off to the traffic again... but then i think to myself, i came all this way, what the heck- I turned back.
Everybody is rushing off. I went in.
People made funny remarks. I ran.
The rain wasn't too bad after all. It was a great feeling. It was only me, the rain and the path ahead.
It was one of the most fulfilling run i felt after along time. I charted a new average.
Not wanting to lose, You shall win.
I was in Bangkok, and i want to run. I went to a new place, with many "expert runners". They looked at me one kind. Probably I was too cool for them.
So I ran, and these "expert runners", then run in packs, they over took me. I don;t care, i keep my own pace.
After a while, I think "I can't lose to these show-offs", and boy, did i run!
It was my fastest 5km to date.
Hard Work, Wrong Method - Equals Disaster. Hard Work, Right Method, Equals Victory.
When i started running, i land on my heels. And I give it all i had. My distance improved, My knee injured.
After recovery, i learn to land on my fore feet. "Land, Lever, Lift." Technique thought by Newton Shoes. Today i gave it all i had. Not only my knees don't feel the impact, i run faster, use less energy, more effective.
I felt that i reached a new level.
Focus : Wherever you are, be there.
When you run, think of nothing else but your run.
Concentrate on your footstep, your heart beat, your breathing, your path ahead.
Running Meditation.
Push yourself to the limit. Therein lies the secret to improvement.
When i started running, i can only run 2km max.
Then one week, i decided to push it. I tell my self, 4km or you are a loser.
The next week, 6km. The next week, 8km. The next, 12km.
Since then, I never looked back.
